   Our History:

  • 1966  - R.M. Pow Ltd founded by Bob Pow.  Bob built the foundation for our work ethic, our culture, our respect for customers, and our effective use of technology.
    • 1972  - Welding engineering was added to the mechanical and mobile equipment expertise of firm.
      •  1978  - Bob Peterman joins firm.  Bob provides additional structural expertise to our firm and sets up minicomputers for structural analysis.
        • 1990 - Pow Technologies is established with a group of engineers dedicated to computer modelling and simulation of dynamically loaded structures and equipment.
          • 1995 - Testing group formed in Pow Technologies to perform field testing and measurement on dynamically loaded structures and equipment in operation.
            • 1997 - Pow Specialty Equipment was established to perform prototyping and manufacturing.
              • 2001 - New office, testing, prototyping and manufacturing facility is built in Ingersoll.
                • 2005 - Expansion doubles floor space + 20,000 sq. ft.
                  • 2008 - Partnership formed with MEDATech Engineering Services to expand our expertise in mobile equipment design and automation.  
                    • 2011 - Partnership with Ultrasonic Impact Treatment technology firm, Applied Ultrasonics, established to expand our capabilities in preventing the fatigue failure of dynamically loaded structures.
